A Private Safari Experience at Hillhouse Lodge

Located on private land which is adjoining and open to the Madikwe Game Reserve, Hillhouse Lodge offers amazing wildlife in a private safari with little or no other safari going vehicles interrupting our experience.

Hillhouse Lodge affords us the privilege of spending hours with single species to hone our skills and also allows us to explore exciting photographic options like some of the macro species at ground level. The lodge also offers additional fenced-off private land which gives us the opportunity to take a morning cycle amongst non-predatory wildlife like eland, giraffe and zebra.

This lodge is all about a “home away from home” experience with minimal staff and a self-serve approach like one would expect from a casual bush break. We can either opt for a self-catering option, or fully catered for both food and refreshments of your choice. This is an ideal setup for families or groups travelling together looking for a private experience.

The photographic safari is aimed at relaxed wildlife photographers willing to spend more time with our chosen subject matter instead of moving between sightings, giving them a chance to spend time with like minded individuals and tapping into each others knowledge.

Duration & date: Four nights are best, and can be booked anytime based upon availability. Cost: R2,895 per person sharing, per night. Including meals, drives and workshop fees. (Excludes drinks & staff gratuity). Minimum of four guests/maximum of six per workshop.
